A journalist can tastefully integrate memes into posts on websites or social media to establish a connection with their audience. Not every post should include a meme or it would feel like an overused template for a post. Whether or not a meme is included depends highly on the content of a post. Posts with serious, heavy, or sensitive content should not include a meme unless it is part of the story. Playful and lighter stories could include a meme, but only if there is some amount of relevancy.
